Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Platform Role & Scope
Taskly is a digital marketplace platform that connects customers with independent service providers ("Taskers").
Taskly does not provide, perform, or supervise services.
Taskly is not a contractor, subcontractor, employer, service provider, or party to the service agreement between customer and tasker.
All services are provided directly by independent taskers under a separate agreement between the customer and the tasker.
Taskly's role is limited to digital infrastructure, booking facilitation, payment processing via Stripe, communication tools, and dispute facilitation support.
Taskly does not guarantee the quality, legality, safety, or outcome of any service.
2. Payment Authorization Model (Hold -> Capture)
When a customer confirms a booking:
- The customer's payment method is authorized.
- The full task amount is temporarily held.
- Funds are not captured at this stage.
- Payment is captured only after task completion is confirmed in accordance with Section 5.
- Taskly does not sell or invoice the underlying service.
- Taskly invoices commission only.
3. Customer Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancellation More Than 24 Hours Before Scheduled Time
- No cancellation fee applies.
- The authorized payment is fully released.
- No funds are captured.
3.2 Cancellation Within 24 Hours of Scheduled Time
- A 5% cancellation fee applies.
- The 5% fee may be captured from the authorized amount.
- The remaining balance is released.
- This fee compensates platform processing costs and operational expenses.
4. Tasker Cancellation
If a tasker cancels a confirmed booking:
- The customer will not be charged.
- Any authorized payment will be fully released.
- Taskly may apply internal account restrictions or penalties for repeated cancellations or misuse.
- Taskly is not liable for losses arising from a tasker's cancellation.
5. Task Completion & Auto-Confirmation
After a task is marked as completed:
- The customer may confirm successful completion.
- If the customer does not respond within 24 hours, the task is automatically confirmed.
- Once confirmed (manually or automatically), the full authorized amount is captured.
- Taskly deducts a 10% commission.
- The remaining 90% becomes payable to the tasker.
- Auto-confirmation constitutes acceptance of the service unless a dispute is raised within the 24-hour window.
6. Disputes
If a dispute arises, the customer must notify Taskly within 24 hours of task completion being marked.
- Taskly may facilitate communication between the parties.
- Taskly may review available communications and evidence.
- Taskly may suggest a reasonable resolution in good faith.
- Taskly does not act as a court of law, arbitrator, mediator, or legal authority.
- Final legal responsibility remains solely between the customer and the tasker.
7. Independent Contractor Status
Taskers are independent service providers.
- Taskers are not employees, agents, representatives, or partners of Taskly.
- Taskly does not control working hours, provide equipment, supervise service execution, or guarantee income.
- Each tasker is solely responsible for service quality, legal compliance, licenses/permits, and tax/social-security obligations.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Bulgarian and EU law:
- Taskly is not liable for service quality or results.
- Taskly is not liable for delays or non-performance.
- Taskly is not liable for property damage or personal injury.
- Taskly is not liable for misconduct, licensing issues, or tax non-compliance of taskers.
- Customers acknowledge they enter into a direct agreement with the tasker.
9. Policy Updates
Taskly may modify this policy at any time.
Continued use of the platform after publication of updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
