Frequently Asked Questions

Customers

When do I actually pay?

When you confirm a booking, your card is authorized (funds are held) — but you are not charged immediately.

You are only charged after:

You confirm the task is completed, or

24 hours pass without response after the task is marked completed.

This protects both you and the tasker.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes.

More than 24 hours before the task → Free cancellation

Within 24 hours → 5% cancellation fee

The small fee covers payment processing and platform costs.

What if the tasker doesn’t show up?

If the tasker cancels:

You are not charged.

Any authorized payment is fully released.

Repeated no-shows may result in account penalties for taskers.

What if I’m not satisfied with the work?

You must report any issue within 24 hours after task completion.

Taskly may review communication and details to help resolve the situation fairly.

If no issue is reported within 24 hours, the task is automatically confirmed.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes.

Payments are securely processed by Stripe.

Taskly does not store your full card details.

Why is my money “held”?

When you confirm a booking, funds are temporarily held to:

Protect the tasker

Prevent no-shows

Ensure commitment from both sides

The money is only captured after completion confirmation.
